Help us to make a difference
Volunteers are a vital part of Community Waves’ activities. Our volunteers bring valuable skills and knowledge to the organisation, that we can draw upon to make a real difference. Some people have experience of services as a patient or a service user and some have useful knowledge of health and social care services from previous professional roles. Much of our strength is rooted in the passion of the people who choose to become involved with us and we are very much aware of this.
If you’re interested in being a volunteer for Community Waves, please get in touch by clicking on the Contact Us page to fill in a form and send a message to us by email.
Become our new Treasurer
We are looking for a volunteer Treasurer, with the knowledge and experience of voluntary organisation fundraising, finance practice, book keeping and financial management. You will need to have good financial analysis skills and the ability to communicate clearly. Our current Treasurer steps down on 31 March 2019.
You will be working closely with the Chair, other Trustees and the Chief Executive and the role includes overseeing the financial affairs of the organisation, ensuring they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice and ensuring proper records are kept and effective financial procedures are in place.
Community Waves is a registered charity that builds bridges between people and services. We give people a voice through innovative community engagement and bring equity to commissioning and shaping of services. Community Waves delivers the award winning Healthwatch Lewisham, the local champion for health and social care. If you are passionate about equalities and ensuring that patients’, service users’, carer and resident voices are heard and understood then we would like to hear from you.
If you would like to have a conversation about the role please feel free to contact Folake Segun, Chief Executive (firstname.lastname@example.org).
